Shock waves

The propagation of shock waves can be studied with this model. You can create arbitrary shock waves and simulate their propagations in a variety of modes. The virtual experiments you can design to test a material are limited only by your imagination. Below are some recorded simulations in the kinetic energy shading mode (the redder, the higher kinetic energy).

The collision of two plane waves The collision of two elliptical waves
Destroying a material interface A totally destructive wave
