Quantum tunneling is a phenomenon at the microscopic scale in which an object may have a chance to penetrate a potential barrier that has energy higher than its kinetic energy. Such an event is considered impossible in classical mechanics. This interactive simulation allows you to observe the tunneling effect of a quantum object that moves at variable velocities.
